This Privacy Policy describes how Green at Home ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information collected through greenathome.ca and its application form. Green at Home provides information about payday loan products available in Canada and passes requests on to lenders; we do not lend money ourselves.
What we collect
Details you enter in the form
The application form collects four details: your first and last name, your email address and your phone number. Alongside them we keep a record of your consent, namely which version of the consent wording you accepted and when you sent the form.
Technical data
Like most websites, our servers log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page the form was sent from. The form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which evaluates signals to tell people from automated programs. No advertising profiles are built from this data, and personal information is never sold.
How we use it
- to pass your request on to Loans Canada and its lending partners so they can review it - this is the only purpose of the application form;
- to keep automated abuse away from the form (reCAPTCHA);
- to keep a record of your consent, as Canadian privacy law requires;
- to count visits and page views in aggregate, without identifying you.
Your consent
Your consent is the basis for everything we do with personal information: we collect it, use it or share it only after you agree, by ticking the consent box before you send the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us (see Contact below). Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that happened before.
Who receives your information
Requests sent through the form go to Loans Canada and its lending partners, and only for the purpose described in this policy. We also use service providers who host the website and run the anti-robot check. Each of them is required to safeguard the information to the standard set out in this policy. Personal information is not sold, and it is not passed on for any purpose other than your request.
How long we keep it
Form submissions are kept for as long as we need them to show what was requested and that you consented, or for as long as the law requires. Records that are no longer needed are deleted or anonymized so that they can no longer identify you.
How we protect it
Information travels over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Stored data sits on systems with restricted access, hosted in Canada or in a jurisdiction with a comparable level of protection. Only people who need access to operate the service have it.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask for a copy of the personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, and withdraw your consent.
You will receive a reply to a written request no later than 30 days after we receive it. If our reply does not resolve your concern, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) or to the privacy regulator in your province.
Cookies
No advertising cookies, and no cookies that follow you across other sites, are used here. The one exception is Google reCAPTCHA on the application form: it may set the cookies it strictly needs to detect abuse, under Google's own privacy policy.
